ABOUT US: How We Got Started
The Golden Ribbon Foundation was formed by Suzanne Arlie, who was diagnosed and treated for ovarian cancer in 2007. During and after her treatment, Suzanne explored many non-traditional treatments and practices for improving her health and well-being. She believes that many of these methods helped her heal faster, easier, and with fewer side effects. During her treatment, Suzanne learned that many women were either unaware of the potential benefits of or could not afford regular massage, yoga, acupuncture, etc. Knowing what a difference these made for her, she wanted to assist any woman in the community facing this disease to have the same opportunity to feel as well as possible.
