ABOUT THE NAME: A Statement from the Founder

During my journey through this disease, there would be times when I could not figure out what to do next. There were so many options, so many doctors, and so many different opinions. A friend of mine introduced me to a meditation technique in which you imagine that there is a golden ribbon stretching away from you far off to a beautiful place beyond the horizon. On its way, the golden ribbon winds through all your choices and all your obstacles, touching each of them and creating just the right path for you to take. “Following the golden ribbon” was such a helpful, simple, confidence-building way to visualize myself successfully navigating this unknown territory that it seemed the most appropriate name for an organization I hope will help other women do the same.
